Know yourself. Find your fit. Go get it.

You’re getting to the end of college or within the first few years out. You have career options in front of you and you’re not sure which ones are actually right for you. We help you figure that out and then we help you go get it.

Hands on Career Coaching

  • A smiling woman wearing a white blouse with a dark collar, holding a closed laptop, standing inside a cafe or restaurant near a yellow wall with beer-related artwork.

    Full Program (Individual)

12 weeks, built around you specifically

University career centers are a good starting point. We go further. Over 12 weeks, we will take the time to really get to know you — what you’re good at, what energizes you, what kind of work and environment will actually suit you. Then we help you build a strategy: your personal brand, your resume, your approach to networking and interviews. Tailored to who you are.

    Full Program (Peer Group)

12 weeks, with a small cohort

Same depth of coaching and individualized attention but with the added dimension of peers who are in the same moment. Groups are small by design so the work stays personal.

    Customized Coaching

    Want to start smaller?

We can work on whatever you need most right now — whether that’s figuring out your career direction, sharpening your resume, preparing for an interview, negotiating an offer, setting you up for success in a new role, or anything else on the career spectrum.

    $225/hour | 4-hour minimum

Supporting someone you love

Watching your young adult navigate this transition is a lot. You want to help and you also want it to feel like their own.

That’s exactly how we approach it.

We work directly with them to draw out what’s already there: their strengths, their values, what kind of work will actually suit them. Not just a job, but a real direction. We take the time that career centers often cannot — getting to know them as individuals and building a strategy that is specific to who they are.

You can make the introduction. We’ve got it from there.

Our why

We started Emergence because we kept seeing the same gap: talented young people, on the edge of something real, without the individualized support to figure out what that something was. Between us, we’ve spent decades advising organizations, developing leaders, and navigating our own career pivots. We know what good fit looks like, we know how to help someone find it, and we know how to position them for it.

Testimonials

“Emergence Career Coaching connected with our daughter in a way we couldn't. Her coach helped her understand the process and how to make the most of her experience and strengths on her resume and when interviewing. She now better understands how to add detail and present a fuller picture of her experiences. It also significantly boosted her confidence.”

From determining where to begin my career, to recruiting and interview prep, to learning how to view myself as an asset and understand recruiters' perspectives, no one has steered me in the right direction as consistently as Melanie. Her confidence, patience, and world-class expertise helped me land my dream job right out of undergrad!”
